Assassins Creed III Season Pass Announced

October 3, 2012

Ubisoft today announced that a Season Pass for the upcoming, Assassins Creed III is to be released.

The season pass will feature five DLC packs for the game on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The season pass will be released within a six month period after the launch of the title at the end of October. Featured in the season pass will be ‘The Tyranny of King Washington’ which will be a ‘three-part’ episodic single-player content in which the player can experience the history of the American Revolution through a different history perspective.

“It’s 1783. As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, George Washington, the greatest hero of the revolution, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land, our new hero Connor must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.”

In addition to the new single player experience, the downloadable content will feature new maps and characters for multiplayer as well as other single-player missions.

“History is our playground, and Assassin’s Creed teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period.” said Sebastien Puel, executive producer at Ubisoft.

“While Assassin’s Creed 3 concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened.’”

The Assassins Creed III Season Pass is now available to PlayStation 3 owners through the PS Store. Xbox 360 and PC owners can buy the season pass on October 31st and November 22nd respectively. Ubisoft has also announced that all of the DLC will be released on the Wii U as well and that the Season Pass will cost £23.99 on PlayStation 3 and 2400 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360.
