Calm down Metal Gear fans, David Hayter is coming back for MGS: V

June 2, 2013

Kojima be trolling. Once again fans are falling for it. I can safely say I never did and always knew that Hayter was going to be back for Metal Gear Solid V. Earlier on, when Metal Gear Solid V was revealed, David Hayter took to twitter and stated that he would not be playing Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid game. Last month, he was asked whether he was asked to come back for the game at all and told IGN UK that it wasn’t his decision nor his choice. IGN are reporting that now “things have changed”. That is where I facepalm, ace reporting there IGN. Last night, Konami tweeted out that they would be revealing the “new voice” of Snake at the Konami Pre-E3 event on June 6. Once the tweet was sent out, Hayter tweeted this:

For a franchise, that has the backing of hardcore fanboys all around to totally swerve people without official confirmation would be mass devastation. And the fact that Kojima officially trolled everyone of those raging fanboys, for them to just turn around and fall in love with the guy all over again just shows how naive some of them can really be. Opinion noted. Anyway, so the news is here, quite obviously, David Hayter will be back to play Snake once again in Metal Gear Solid V. Also to clarify, The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes will finally be revealed on whether they are the same game or totally two different titles that are being worked on. Konami has an interesting press conference coming up.

You won’t want to miss it. But if you do, we here at Dashhacks will have you covered. Be sure to stick around on Dashhacks this week, leading up to the gran’daddy of all gaming E3. HolmesInFive will be at E3 this year, so be here on Dashhacks for all of his first-hand impressions.
