Announced yesterday afternoon on the official Playstation Twitter page, it seems that the PSN will be down for some scheduled service starting on Monday the 10th. Still, that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to play all of your favorite games during this time window. Sony states that if you have logged on to your account within the “past few days” you’ll still be able to get your gaming and app fix while service is being done. That’s quite nice of them considering any networking outage is usually met with a full on gamer mutiny or more attempts by hacktivist groups to compromise Sony’s property.
So how long will the outage last? We’re going to play the conservative game and say at least fourteen hours ranging from 11AM EST-1AM EST. We say “at least” just because the company is no stranger to extending that time if they need it. If you plan to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, or Account Management, please do so before the window as these assets will be entirely unavailable for that time.
That being said, take the time to log in now so you can at least have the major parts of the service working for you.Tweet this!
