Just earlier this week, we got all of those PS1 and PSP games on our PS Vitas that we couldn’t before. Now Sony has taken them away.
Now why are we surprised? This is Sony we are dealing with here. If you’re noticing that you can’t download PS1 and PSP titles despite our recent news that you could, you shouldn’t be able to. Sony has locked up or Vitas really tight again, limiting the games that we can play on them. But why did they give us this quick stint of joy?
According to a live chat that @vitareviews had with a PlayStation employee, this mass whitelisting was a glitch.
For those of you that were able to get the games, if you still want to be able to get them whenever you feel like it, I would strongly recommend backing up your memory cards.
It is still possible to get some of the PS1 onto your Vita. It involves transferring them from your PS3. You can follow this guide by heleius of hackinformer.com.
That’s all for now from me, The Jay Doctor. What do you think of Sony’s decision to screw us all over? Also, there is still time to enter @TheASHfire06‘s PS Vita Borderlands 2 Bundle giveaway.
