The online component of Grand Theft Auto 5 will be revealed via a debut gameplay video, which is set to go live alongside a comprehensive CVG preview and extensive coverage from our weekly YouTube show GTA 5 o’clock.
GTA 5 o’clock presenters Tim Weaver and Dan Dawkins recently travelled to Rockstar North in Edinburgh to see GTA Online in action, and you can hear their in-depth analysis of what the online game has to offer in a special video show on Thursday, August 15.
Following that, a second GTA 5 o’clock episode will premiere an unprecedented 45 minute interview with Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies.
Rockstar has confirmed a US and European GTA 5 release date of September 17 on Xbox 360 and PS3. The game will launch in Japan on October 10.
In July, Rockstar released a new GTA 5 gameplay trailer featuring almost five minutes of fresh footage.
CVG followed up its release with an in-depth analysis of the video and an exclusive GTA 5 interview with lead mission designer Imran Sarwar.
While the game has only been officially announced for Xbox 360 and PS3, Rockstar hasn’t ruled out releasing it on other platforms, saying in November 2012 that GTA V PC and Wii U are “up for consideration”. It has also been speculated that Rockstar intends to release Xbox One and PS4 versions of GTA 5.
