- August 2002 – SOCOM introduces voice control
- July 2003 – Eyetoy released
- December 2003 – PSX foretells the media hub future
- May 2004 – Singstar released with microphone support
- October 2004 – GTA 3 launches
- November 2005 – 100 millionth console sold
