Minimur, WTH Happened This Week? InFamous: Second Son, Heavenly Sword Movie, and Screenshots of Unreleased PS4 Games!

February 11, 2014

So we’ve got plenty of news for you this week, ranging from Vita as always,  and also some good news for the PC master race (yeah right) Have a click if you’re interested!

So, as always, Vita first!

Being as I missed last weeks weekly update (sorry!) I’ll include the games I could locate from the past 2 weeks.

Announcements:

Hatsune Miku Project Diva F 2nd has been delayed, and is now due out on 27th March

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Coming in April 24th, for Japan only unfortunately.

Ethan Meteor Hunter – Already out on PS3/PC, it was announced on the blog yesterday that it’ll be coming to the Vita and will take part in the cross buy promotion.

They showcased a video of the Vita’s touch controls in use, but unfortunately it’s not letting me embed them, so here’s a link to them all, pretty intuitive, I must say.

They didn’t reveal a release date just yet but they did say that it’ll be ‘very soon’

Gunslugs – Some time in February

It seems that at the Try PS4 event in Tokyo, players have managed to ‘share’ lots of screenshots from unreleased games. The games were Strider, Octodad: Dadliest Catch, Dream C Club: Host Girls on Stage, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends and Tottemo E Mahjong Plus

There’s about 60 screenshots of the unreleased games, so I’m sure you can understand be not posting every single one. So here’s 59 instead.

For the rest of the gallery, stretched over 2 articles, visit here and here.

Here’s something rather petty, but pretty interesting at the same time. Hideo Kojima has been in the spotlight recently because of the alleged complete time of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes (reported to be 2 hours long) but that was only to complete the story. I highly doubt this is the case though. From what I remember is that select press were given 4 hours to play the game, and well, if I were them, I’d rush through everything and anything to get the most out of the 4 hours I’d get to play, wouldn’t you?

Well anyway, here’s a link to that story here. Because I wasn’t here to talk about that.

I was here to talk about an Easter egg that doesn’t seem to be out in the wild yet, Hideo Kojima tweeted it revealing it the other day:

Here’s a nice new trailer for the upcoming (but god knows when) Final Fantasy XV, it looks pretty amazing, and I’m definitely going to get it when it comes out…. if it comes out.

He’s not on there long enough for me to get a decent screenshot of it, but the behemoth on there looks bloody fantastic!

Let’s talk about one of my most anticipated games of the year, inFamous: Second Son. I’ve got a couple of pieces news around this game this week, one consists of a pre-order bonus and the other, about Troy Bakers twitter account. I’ll go with the lesser or the strange first, the tweets.

Troy Baker (Delsin Rowe) and Travis Willingham (Delsin’s brother, Reggie)

After this tweet by sucker punch, Troy tweeted this:

Now onto the stranger news for inFamous.

Gamestop italy have an interesting pre-order bonus….. 2 cans of red bull and some ‘una scatola di profilattici fluorescenti,’ well, which are some glow in the dark condoms. Yep, that’s right.

I yearn for a day where google translates text on photos (or the whole world speaks one language…)

The reason? No idea, this reminds me of when Assassins Creed: Black Flag’s pre-order bonus was an american football, although it isn’t as whacky and unrelated as the inFamous bonus.

We do have a bit more inFamous news, a bit more normal this one, it’s some brand spanking new screenshots of the game! and as always, they are looking beautiful!

These are screenshots of the in-game seatle and next to them are photos of real world seatle, to compare the two.

Real World Seattle:

There’s alot more examples on dualshockers.com , just follow that link and you’ll see a few. it’s very impressive.

I’m not sure if you’re aware, but I’m pretty sure I mentioned it a while back about the announcement. There’s a heavenly sword coming out soon, in spring time, and the creators, Blockade Entertainment have released a new (and very cheesy) trailer for it. It kindof reminds me of the intro scene for tekken 3
