Let’s have a look!

PS Vita news:

No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either! – Free to play ‘coming soon’

A lucky Playstation now beta tester has tested how long it has taken him to launch each game, and here are his findings:

  • Dead or Alive 5: 51.10
  • Disgaea 4: 47.12
  • Papo & Yo: 43.10
  • Killzone 3: 53.49
  • Darksiders II: 50.53
  • MX vs. ATV: Alive: 48.15
  • Ninja Gaiden 3: 50.89
  • Shatter: 39.77
  • Shadow of the Colossus: 53.98
  • Puppeteer: 44.16
He also provided his internet connection details (tested through speedtest), being as it would impact loading times.
  • Ping: 17ms
  • Download speed: 7.65 Mbps
  • Upload speed: 1.88 Mbps#

That seems pretty good to be fair, considering it’s in beta phase. I’m surprised it’s still in beta, how long is it going on for?

Now let’s get on to the PS Plus rumours. This is the second time it’s happened now, and it was spot on last time. So let’s hope this one is!

Dead Nation

Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons

Tomb Raider

PS Vita:

Smart As

Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD

I’m pretty happy with that, even though I already own Tomb Raider. I enjoyed the Smart As demo but never got round to purchasing it so I’ll definitely give that a go if the rumours are true.

I’m pretty surprised they’re bringing Tomb Raider to PS Plus, being as Square Enix have just launched the definitive edition for the PS4, and would obviously try to push the sales of the game as much as possible. In any case, I’m sure many people who haven’t played it and didn’t want to pay £50/$60 for an HD remake will be pleased!

Here’s another gameplay video for you lot now, it’s South Park: The Stick Of Truth. The first 13 minutes of it, the game looks pretty funny and I’m going to be getting it from PSN, for convenience.

It was also reported this week that the game has finally gone gold, after being years in development.

Isn’t it nice hearing games are coming out soon that have been in development hell!

In an interview with with Videogamer, Final Fantasy XV is Series Producer Yoshinori Kitase gave us a few more details on his upcoming game:

We can’t give too much information, but certainly looking at Final Fantasy XV, it’s not as if it’s in competition with Kingdom Hearts 3 for resources or anything like that. It’s quite far into development now, and it is being given a very high priority within the company itself, but that doesn’t mean Kingdom Hearts isn’t.

Along other things in the interview, he also mentioned about how the series might improve due to next-gen consoles capabilities:

We are quite aware of [PS4 & Xbox One’s] capabilities and certainly one thing that’s going to come up is having battles with a lot more participants involved, having a lot more characters, a lot more things happening, that’s one of the things that the new hardware does really well, so to maybe make a battle system for a Final Fantasy game or a future game that fits with that, I think it would be quite good to have more characters for the player to control and more participants in the battle.

Interesting, you mean like in Final Fantasy 1 where you could battle for FOUR characters?!?

The brilliant indie game, with roughly the same popularity as DayZ now, Rust, may be coming to next gen consoles! In an update by the developer Gary Newman (Yes, the Gary Newman from Gary’s Mod, it’s his game) said this:

So with Rust, we are planning to port it to consoles. We haven’t started that process yet. We’re not planning anything until we’ve tried to get it running on one of the consoles and know what problems we’re going to face. It’s important to emphasise here that we’re porting TO consoles. We’re not making a dumbed down console version and then porting it back to the PC. So might happen, might not. Depends on a bunch of stuff. Either way neither the PS4 or XBone have any kind of early access program as far as I know, so it will be a while away.

In response to lack of early access, Adam Boyes PS Devloper Relations said this:

After the lengthy stretch of time where we heard no information about The Evil Within, they’ve finally outed the most important bits, the release date, and the box art.

If you fancy this game, it’ll be in your hands by August 26 for the North American’s and August 29 in Europeans.

Here’s the ‘interesting’ box art:

There were rumours surrounding TurtleRock’s new game, Evolve, and they’ve finally come clear about how it works, gameplay and mechanics, like their previous game, they’ve decided to stick with 4 player co-op. You play one of four roles, and will fight against a monster… but there’s a twist…. The monster you want to hunt is actually a player too.

Have a look at the developer interview to understand it better:

Someone say inFamous: Second Son?

Why yes I did, now why could that possibly be?….. GAMEPLAY

What else could possibly accompany this game, besides some pictures?

A developer interview!

here ya’ go:

Weekly blog round-up

Reading the hardware mods were pretty interesting, and I must admit, the ‘play&peace’ advert was awesome!
