 PS2 Classics Manager v1.00 (Beta) – PS3

With the leak of the PS2 Classic algorithm now being fully utilized, we’ve got a whole mess of tools released that are designed to help you get the most out of those last-generation releases. Sure, sometimes having the power of a strong script can be a good thing, but we’ve all got to have some love for a solid GUI as well. This is just one of the few that have come out this week to work specifically for your PS2 games.

Sometimes the entire conversion process between getting all of your ISOs in order and naming them to fit in the right directory can be a bit of a pain. This is especially true considering all of us here haven’t exactly been working with PS2 games for too long. The purpose of this program then is to take you from the process of actual game disc to Classic in just a matter of a few minutes. There are even a few additional options for those of you who want to add high-definition custom backgrounds as well. The only downside to this beta release is that as of writing it does not support external titles. This basically means you’ll have to be starting with something you own if you would like to see the benefit.

Continuing on with this week’s common threads, deank also dropped by to give us his own take on the matter.
