I understand some limits over multiplayer on FPS games like COD and BF4 but to 12?.
As always, a
leaked pic of the box showing some rather *disturbing* for COD fans got posted over several news sites.
Ghosts only supports up to 12 players online for a max of 6 versus 6 matches. Previous Call of Duty games in both the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series supported up to 18 players online.
So the number one question is WHY 12?..
I mean they managed to fuck@! things up with COD BO2 enough to know with COD ghosts. Seems that they want to go for the *secure* rather than give the user problematic gaming sessions.
For example BO2 when suddendly the screen *MIGRATING HOST* pops out of nowhere and you start swearing to everyone including yourself.
Not WEIRD enough?, PS4 and Xbox-One will support up to 18 players online.
Reasons still unclear about this move but using some common sense and rational thinking you could come up with a nice excuse.
Last but not least important the Xbox360 version of Ghosts requires a 3GB install to the hard drive or other storage device. Well at least they could put to rest a while their drives meanwhile PS3 users will *Dance* while they hear that sweet sound that comes out of their BR drive. Something like sending a fax back in the 90′.s
Originally picked up by CharlieIntel, the back cover image shows that Call of Duty: Ghosts only supports up to 12 players online for a max of 6 versus 6 matches. Previous Call of Duty games in both the Modern Warfareand Black Ops series supported up to 18 players online.
It is currently unclear what number of players the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Ghosts will support but 18 players seems likely. If so, that’s a pretty significant shift for what has been a staple multiplayer series on the current generation of consoles. Some gamers are also likely to cast a questioning eye towards Activision and Infinity Ward if there is six player difference between the current-gen and next-gen versions of the game.
Edit: To clarify, this means that the “Ground War” gametype has been removed from at least the current-gen consoles.
The back cover also revealed that the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts requires a 3GB install to the hard drive or other storage device.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released Nov. 5 to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, Nov. 15 for the PS4 and Nov. 22 for the Xbox One.
