It’s been quite a while since we last posted something about Showtime. The progression towards the next stable build has not stopped as Andreas Oman has been knocking it out. Yesterday, a new test build was released for those who love to be on the cutting edge when it comes to development. As of this point, version 4.2 is just about two-thirds of the way completed. Here is the changelog for the past couple of test builds:

- Make sure Showtime does not downgrade a plugin to a lesser version

- Add support for replacing various parts of the UI using plugins

- For beta-testers of plugins there is now a setting under “General” where a user can specify a, list of space separated, passwords that will enable beta testing of plugins
