 Reptile – Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat has always been known to be one of the most difficult fighting games around, but unlocking Reptile in the original game was a just plain ridiculous feat. Just to have the chance to fight the guy, you needed to have two completely flawless battles in the pit stage to begin with. In case you aren’t familiar with all of the MK lingo, that essentially means you have to win two battles while taking no damage and never blocking. If that’s not hard enough, you had to be able to do this after eight straight times of cycling through the already impossible ladder system.

MK Reptile

Let me remind you that doing all of this was only to give the player a chance to fight Reptile. If you had the will to accomplish that, you then had to engage in a ridiculously difficult boss battle afterwards. If you won, you were given Reptile and a million points to add to your score. Certainly well worth it by numeric standards, but then you realize that those points don’t actually amount to much of anything. Especially with no trophies back then, all bragging rights were lost too. Don’t you worry bro. If you did this, you and I both know your a champ.

NBA Jam was an already awesome game, but did you know you could play as Bill Clinton and Al Gore? Seriously, I’m not joking!
