Subjunk releases UMS version 2.6.5

Lead Developer Subjunk has released a new update (version 2.6.5) of the Media Server. UMS is a way for users to stream many forms of media from devices such as a PC to your PS3. Changes since 2.6.4:

  • General:

    • Made sure it is possible to override thumbnails
    • Fixed RAW image transcoding and support 28 additional RAW file extensions
  • Languages:
    • Updated Czech translation
    • Updated Dutch translation (thanks, leroy!)
    • Updated Spanish translation (thanks, Alfredo Ramos and uman2k!)
  • External Components:
    • Updated MediaInfo for Windows to 0.7.63, which:
      • Adds H.265 (HEVC) support
      • Fixed some crashes with .mov files
      • Improved AVI support
    • Updated Netty to 3.6.6
    • Updated Thumbnailator to 0.4.4, which:
      • Fixes memory errors with the latest Java Runtimes

Upgrade Notes:

For versions prior to 1.5.0:
It is recommended to delete your UMS.conf file prior to installing this version. Windows users can choose the “clean install” option while installing instead.

For all versions:
