Tonakai’s Weekly Competitions – Week 1! Win Sims 3 and three expansion packs.

August 29, 2013

Do you like free things? Sure you do. Everyone likes free, right!? Well, this is the place for you. Read on to find out how you could win free games for the next eighteen weeks. Yep, you read that correctly!

The Sims is an iconic game series that first came out in February of the year 2000 and has since sold over one hundred and fifty million copies, but of course, you need no introduction to the series.

So, how would you like to be in with the chance to win this game thanks to the forum user EvilGrin who kindly donated this game and three expansion packs (High End Loft Stuff, Late Night and Date Night)?

All you have to do is comment in this thread: http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=34630  and tell me about your fondest memories of the series.

I will choose the winner at random and mail them their prizes.

Note: To qualify all you have to do is comment in that thread as I will choose at random. However; it would be nice if you shared your memories of this game, but it’s just a little bit of fun.

Note 2: Please  read all of the rules (which are in the first post) on the thread so that you fully understand how this will work.

If you don’t win this week however; don’t be too upset there will be another chance in the weeks to come to win the Sims 3 and two expansion packs (High End Loft Stuff and Date Night).

I will be giving away a game a week to a forum user starting next Sunday (September the 8th) which will be followed by an article on the main page here.

If you want a list of games, they will be at the bottom of this post. I do however urge you to read on.

Ever heard of Humble Bundle? It’s a charity site that gives away bundles of goods each week for whatever you want to pay. You choose how much you wish to donate (should you go above the average you will receive extra goods) and how the money is distributed: which charity and whether you wish to give humble a percentage to help their server costs – though tipping Humble isn’t required.

I urge you to look into this website, as you get a great reward while also helping charity or charities of your choosing. If you wish to check out Humble Bundle, then you can click the large image above.

Last week Humble Bundle had a bundle that gave away multiple games (ten in fact) for a mere donation of 5 USD. Since the Red Cross was a part of the charities list, I decided that I would donate $50 to the charity, and create competitions here on Wololo.net so that other’s could enjoy these games.

I support the Red Cross because I believe that their aide is necessary for aiding those who have their lives torn apart by natural disaster. They also have an animal division (which is sadly less thought of) that helps animals in disasters. They help get these poor creatures back to their rightful owners or, if it comes to it; they help re-home these animals. I find this such a heartwarming thought. I don’t know how I’d react finding out that my beloved pets were either lost or dead after a disaster and were left in fear for their final moments.

Finally, here is the list of games I will be giving out over the next eighteen weeks in no particular order:

All games listed below are for Origin Client:

    • Dead Space (x2)*
    • Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box
    • Crysis 2 Maximum Edition
    • Dead Space 3
    • Medal of Honor
    • Mirror’s Edge
    • Battlefield 3
    • Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3
    • Populous
    • The Sims 3 (Including High End Loft Stuff & Late Night)

*A Forum user called TooSxc4U shared his Dead Space key with me which I used a few days ago (thank you!). I came about acquiring a key for Dead Space yesterday too, so I have TWO copies of Dead Space for Origin, and ONE for Steam.

All games listed below are for Steam:

    • Dead Space
    • Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box
    • Crysis 2 Maximum Edition
    • Dead Space 3
    • Medal of Honor
    • Mirror’s Edge
    • Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3

I will be giving away Steam and Origin games separately, so there is two chances to win six games, then the final four are Origin only.

I’d like to thank EvilGrin again for sharing this game and starting off the next few months of free games.

This week’s competition ends on Saturday September 9th (you get a little longer this time since I’m posting mid-week).

Good luck, everyone!
